The June Premium SketchBox is built around experimentation, texture, movement, and abstraction. In the box, you will receive a 5-tube curated set of Rockwell 3D Oilac Paint — an incredibly unique medium that blends the best qualities of watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint into one expressive experience. Oilac moves like watercolor, builds like acrylic, and carries the creamy depth artists love about oils. It’s unlike anything we’ve featured before, and we curated this color palette specifically for abstract exploration and expressive mark-making. Colors in the set: Viridian Hue, Orange, Romantic Purple, White, Yellow. The next item is a clear acrylic mixing palette. Use this to mix up any color for your abstract artwork. You will also receive two SketchBox Signature Palette Knives. These are the perfect tools to use with the Oilac paints as they allow you to create textures and unique mark makings. Finally, we partnered with Strathmore to bring you a custom 4x9" Oil Painting Pad. A convenient alternative to canvases or boards for oil paints or oil pastels. No gesso is required to prevent oil saturation; simply tear out a sheet and start painting! The linen surface mimics canvas while providing texture to help blend and hold layers of paint in place.
